construct ROBs and RUBs, close unused and unnecessary roads which are laid across rail tracks. Indian Railways should fix time period for constructing ROBs and RUBs and work according to the deadline.

NAMASTHE ,I HAVE DONE A PROJECT ALREADY ON THIS TOPIC .IT'S A WORKING MODEL.THE ULTIMATE AIM IS TO PROTECT THE NO MAN LEVEL CROSSINGS .I DESIGNED A SYSTEM WHICH WILL BE INSTALLED AT A SEVERAL DISTANCE FROM THE GATE. SO THAT THIS SYSTEM ACTIVATES WHEN THE TRAIN REACHES THE SYSTEM,THE GATE WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY OPERATED WITH A ALARM.SIMILARILY IF THE TRAIN HAS PASSED SEVERAL DISTANCE AFTER THE GATE,THE SECONDARY SYSTEM WILL OPERATE THE GATE.IAM SURE THAT THIS CAN REDUCE DEATH RATE.

Dear Sir , I am staying in Mira Road East WR in Mumbai since last 9 years .There is no starting train from Mira Road east .It is very difficult to commute from Mira Road .
I will request GOVT & Railway dept to start minimum 2 trains during peak hours between 7.30 am to 8.30 am in Morning so that it will help people to travel from Mira road east .
Secondly ,I will suggest Railway to start FIRST CLASS SPECIAL LOCALS ( same as Ladies special local )Worst condition to travel from Mira Road

The performance record of person on duty at gates should be recorded on computer and reviewed on yearly basis. Apart from this, the city with unmanned crossings should have plenty of hoardings warning people about it. There should also be public display of train timings so that people know when the train will come and the gates will remain closed.

Sir,The big departments like railways should have digital records of all employees. Many employees of lower ranks do house hold works at the residences of the officers, this is sheer wastage of human resources. 4 to 5 men can be seen working at the residence of officers. This should be stopped.

Why don't we have the contribution from state for this so that railways and state can work together to safeguard the citizens.

This issue is a serious security that the govt should take with high priority. Instead of keeping a 5 year deadline or so for this, take a imnediate decision and convert all unmanned railway crossings in India to manned croosing within an year. This is not gonna happen if we take it as a step by step process.
This should be parallelized. Task must be given to each municipality at the lowest level and give them a deadline to implement it.

Unmanned level crossings should be automated with approaching train onto the crossing but that will incur huge costs and will take years of planning and implementing.
Least you can do is install hooters and traffic signals with timers displaying ETA at the crossing and these can be controlled by nearest stations or relay cabin huts. this would enable the motor vehicle driver get aware of approaching danger.
