भारत सरकार की वर्तमान मान्यता और रैंकिंग प्रणाली में बढ़ती चिंताओं को दूर करने हेतु एक उच्च स्तरीय समिति का गठन किया था। इस समिति ने राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 के विजन के अनुरूप रणनीतिक सुधारों की शुरूआत और सत्यापन योग्य और सुरक्षित केंद्रीकृत उच्च शिक्षा संस्थानों की स्वीकृति, मान्यता और रैंकिंग के लिए एक सरल, विश्वास-आधारित, उद्देश्यपूर्ण और तर्कसंगत प्रणाली को अपनाने की आवश्यकता पर प्रौद्योगिकी संचालित आधुनिक प्रणालियों के डेटाबेस के माध्यम से विचार किया। हितधारकों के लिए ईज ऑफ डूइंग बिजनेस की सुविधा के लिए कार्यप्रणाली, संस्थानों/कार्यक्रमों के चयन के लिए अधिक सूचित विकल्प बनाने में छात्रों को विधिवत सुविधा प्रदान करने पर भी समिति द्वारा विचार किया गया था।

विचार-विमर्श की एक श्रृंखला के बाद, एक उच्च-स्तरीय समिति ने भारत में उच्च शिक्षा विभाग, शिक्षा मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार को 'भारत में सभी उच्च शिक्षा संस्थानों के आवधिक मूल्यांकन और प्रत्यायन को मजबूत करने के लिए परिवर्तनकारी सुधार' पर अपनी मसौदा रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की है।

माईगव, शिक्षा मंत्रालय के सहयोग से, रिपोर्ट को अंतिम रूप देने के लिए सभी हितधारकों से प्रतिक्रिया और सुझाव आमंत्रित करता है।

Ongoing mindless growth of the higher educational centres at the behest of some very powerful lobby belonging to the nation's private sector, must be urgently reined in for some obvious reasons. The high level Committee tasked with looking into the extant Ranking and Accreditation system must revisit the entire gamut thereof and suggest effective measures to thoroughly cleanse the same by making them fall in line with national priorities rather than being profit oriented. An independent 'National Higher Education Accreditation Board' should be constituted under some Retired SC Jurist. More importantly, there should be no room for any party politics. Their Ranking should be based on their ability to perform with reference to ensuring some worthy future for their student community.

Respected Sir/Madam,

Accredition of Higher Educational Insitutions should be done purely on 'selective' basis, measured in terms of 'quality' of the education likely to be imparted by their respective faculties. Mind you, any 'numerical' rise of such institutions does not guarantee serving the real purpose of establishing the same. Their Pan-India ranking may be based on their ability to deliver at ground zero implying their success rate in terms of providing them with some 'worthy' employment opportunities at domestic as well as international level in their quest to have some bright professional future. As regards their periodic assessment, they should be evaluated on the basis of their performances in test cases encompassing some stressful and trying conditions. As we all know, Real worth of Gold can be gauged after heated up in fire.

There are 15% management/nri quota in colleges.Which we should make 10% management quota seats.

And additional 10% seats for NRI students other than whole 100% seats. Institutes can have admission for these 10% additional NRI seats on their own under admission committee vigilance. So that no deserving Indian students remain without admission. And also NRI students also get chance to study in Indian institutes.

and this will help in stop corruption in admission.
