The Income Tax Department invites constructive suggestions from citizens, taxpayers, professionals, businesses, and other stakeholders to strengthen its Citizen Charter and make it more transparent, citizen-centric, accessible, and responsive to the evolving needs of taxpayers.

The Citizen Charter reflects the Department's commitment towards delivering quality taxpayer services by defining service standards, timelines, taxpayer rights, and responsibilities. As part of its continuous efforts to improve taxpayer experience in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the Department seeks practical suggestions and innovative ideas to further enhance the Citizen Charter.

Suggestions may be submitted on, but are not limited to, the following areas:

      • Improving taxpayer services and service standards.
      • Simplifying taxpayer interactions with the Income Tax Department.
      • Enhancing transparency, accountability, and service delivery.
      • Strengthening grievance redressal mechanisms.
      • Improving accessibility for senior citizens, women, persons with disabilities, and first-time taxpayers.
      • Promoting digital service delivery and ease of compliance.
      • Making the Citizen Charter easier to understand through simplified language and better communication.
      • Any other suggestions that can make the Income Tax Department more citizen-friendly, efficient, and responsive.

Your valuable suggestions will contribute towards strengthening taxpayer services, promoting trust, and building a transparent, efficient, and citizen-centric tax administration.

This digital framework solve structural delays in dairy value chain by replacing manual administrative friction with automated, transparent, and inclusive service delivery. Just as tax modernization uses real-time data to automate refunds and eliminate paperwork, the paper converts shift-level Digital Milk Receipts into bankable Dairy Collateral Receipts to replace a 10–15 day settlement lag with same-day automated payments. Its three-channel disbursement model guarantees total accessibility for unbanked and non-digital producers without technical prerequisites, while a four-level sequential verification chain enforces accountability and eliminates ledger tampering—delivering a seamless, producer-first financial infrastructure.

In my view, the Citizen Charter should not merely be a list of services but a clear commitment of accountability towards taxpayers. Every service should have a defined timeline, the name of the responsible officer, and an automatic explanation with the next course of action if the timeline is exceeded. All notices, orders, and procedures should be available in simple English and regional languages so that every taxpayer can understand them easily. A unique grievance tracking system with time-bound resolution should be mandatory. Dedicated support should be provided for first-time taxpayers, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. AI-powered 24×7 assistance, pre-filled documentation wherever possible, and a transparent public dashboard showing service performance and citizen feedback should also be introduced. These reforms would strengthen transparency, build trust, encourage voluntary tax compliance, and significantly contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Respected Prime Minister Modi Ji, As a young citizen of India, I respectfully recommend Shri Raghav Chadha for consideration as Union Minister of Education. As a Chartered Accountant, former Delhi MLA and Rajya Sabha MP, he brings education, analytical ability, legislative experience and a modern outlook. His ability to connect with India's youth could bring fresh energy to higher education, skill development, employment, innovation and research. Considering a capable leader from outside the ruling party could also send a powerful message that merit, capability and national interest can rise above political identity. It could strengthen the Government's connection with young Indians and show that responsibility is given for the ability to serve, not merely as a political reward. I humbly request you to consider this suggestion in the interest of India's students and future generations. With respect, Deepak Pradhani(Dear friend of modi)
