The Income Tax Department invites constructive suggestions from citizens, taxpayers, professionals, businesses, and other stakeholders to strengthen its Citizen Charter and make it more transparent, citizen-centric, accessible, and responsive to the evolving needs of taxpayers.
The Citizen Charter reflects the Department's commitment towards delivering quality taxpayer services by defining service standards, timelines, taxpayer rights, and responsibilities. As part of its continuous efforts to improve taxpayer experience in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the Department seeks practical suggestions and innovative ideas to further enhance the Citizen Charter.
Suggestions may be submitted on, but are not limited to, the following areas:
- Improving taxpayer services and service standards.
- Simplifying taxpayer interactions with the Income Tax Department.
- Enhancing transparency, accountability, and service delivery.
- Strengthening grievance redressal mechanisms.
- Improving accessibility for senior citizens, women, persons with disabilities, and first-time taxpayers.
- Promoting digital service delivery and ease of compliance.
- Making the Citizen Charter easier to understand through simplified language and better communication.
- Any other suggestions that can make the Income Tax Department more citizen-friendly, efficient, and responsive.
Your valuable suggestions will contribute towards strengthening taxpayer services, promoting trust, and building a transparent, efficient, and citizen-centric tax administration.

On long term capital gain tax there is 125000 rebate and now demanding to withdraw tax it is good to hear , my suggestion is there should be rebate on short term capital gain tax take my example I had paid tax on my profit for Rs 702/- , like me smaller buyer just to average out some losses selling shares in shorter period getting injustice there should be rebate like LTCG. Please consider it, other suggestions regarding annually getting bank interest on saving account there should not be tax for Rs.4000to 5000.

👉Eliminate misuse of welfare benefits by those who are not entitled.
In short, this proposal will create a transparent, fair, and efficient taxation system, benefiting both the citizens and the government.

IT return file करना बहुत झंझट है।
आम आदमी को बहुत दिक्कत होती हैं।
इसलिये बहुत कम लोग IT रिटर्न दाखिल करते हैं।
IT return भरना बहुत आसान बनाये।

There is lots of financial crimes, frauds, tax evasion, cyber crimes, NPA in bank, corruption, black money, electricity theft, etc.etc.
Unnecessary court cases, police investigation also a financial burden on government.
I plan Honesty campaign.
I written slogan, song and content for video messages.
I plan flims, short films and poster.
I want my messages should give publicity at various platforms.
Government need to spend very little money.
Earning also possible from social media and other way.
This way government tax earning will also increase.

last year I made suggestion but nothing happened.
I am writing again.
my mother expired.
there is dispute in family
I want to submit IT return of my expired senior citizen mother.
but i could not submit IT return.
I am son of my mother.
I manage my mother income tax return.
I do not have authority from court.
I am not nominee in bank account.
so i want that allow to submit IT return.
when i submit legal papers than issue refund.
Do not create hinderence in submitting IT returns.
Do not process IT return until legal papers are complete. But also allow all previous IT return to submit.

It should symbolize transparency of citizens in supporting the nation's growth through a fair and efficient tax systems.

Taxpayers should receive easy access to online support, multilingual assistance, and simplified tax filing procedures. Regular communication through SMS and email updates can improve transparency.
