The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens across India to share their constructive suggestions and innovative ideas through the initiative "Have an Idea? Share it with ICAI".
This initiative provides a platform for citizens, professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to contribute their valuable ideas for strengthening the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Chartered Accountancy profession, and India's financial and economic ecosystem.
Participants are encouraged to submit their suggestions on areas such as strengthening the Chartered Accountancy profession, promoting economic development, enhancing transparency and good governance, leveraging technology and innovation, improving financial literacy, supporting entrepreneurship, and contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The objective of this initiative is to encourage meaningful public participation and harness diverse perspectives to help build a stronger, more transparent, innovative, and future-ready Chartered Accountancy profession while contributing to an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable financial ecosystem for the nation.

Respected Sir/Madam, I believe women’s empowerment must begin with creating an environment where girls are encouraged to dream without limitations. From childhood, both boys and girls should be taught equality, mutual respect and consent. Families and educational institutions should encourage girls to pursue education, careers, sports, entrepreneurship and leadership without unnecessary social restrictions. At the same time, boys should be educated to respect women and understand that safety and equality are a shared responsibility. We should work towards a society where a woman’s choices are respected and her opportunities are determined by her abilities, not by fear or social limitations. Empowering women is not only about protecting them; it is about giving them equal opportunities to shape the future of India.

Proposal: Village Financial Digital Hub (VFDH)
• Problem (Lack of Financial Literacy): Although banking services (such as Jan Dhan accounts and digital payments) have reached rural areas and small towns in India, people still do not know how to utilize them effectively
.
• Solution (Establishing Financial Hubs in Every Panchayat): A small digital helpdesk (VFDH) should be established at every Gram Panchayat level. The responsibility of running this center should be assigned to college students or local educated youths through internships or financial incentives.
• Impact (Local Employment and Skill Development): College students and educated youth will get the opportunity to do internships within their own villages, gain valuable work experience certificates, and receive financial support in the form of incentives.

As a B.Com (Taxation) student and CA aspirant from Madhya Pradesh, here are my ideas for ICAI:
1. Free recorded lectures, mock tests and study material in Hindi and regional languages. Many of us struggle more with the language than the concepts.
2. More exam centres and coaching support in smaller cities, so students don't have to travel or relocate.
3. Affordable, structured guidance right after Class 12 on CA Foundation, with a clear roadmap.
4. Better articleship: fair stipends, practical training in GST, e-filing and AI tools, and a grievance portal.
5. ICAI student volunteers running financial literacy workshops in schools and villages.
These will make the CA path more accessible and support Viksit Bharat @2047.

Proposal: CA Student Consultancy Grid (CSCG)
• Problem: Rural MSMEs & startups lack awareness of tax regulations and cannot afford expensive CA consultancy fees. Consequently, due to the lack of project reports, they are deprived of bank loans (PMMY/PMEGP) and fall into the trap of local moneylenders. Conversely, CA students miss out on real-world ground-level business experience.
• Solution (CSCG): ICAI should establish a National Grid of CA Final and Intermediate students through its local branches. These students will run free 'Financial Clinics' at the block and district levels for small traders.
• Economic Impact: This initiative will lead to the financial formalization of small traders, enabling them to secure easy bank loans and breaking their dependence on exploitative moneylenders.
• Conclusion: This initiative will significantly elevate ICAI's social reputation and serve as a historic milestone in the 'Viksit Bharat @ 2047' and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' campaigns

I would like to propose a “Smart & Seamless Examination System” to address the often-overlooked administrative burden faced by candidates during examinations. Checking admit cards, verifying details, filling answer-book information and obtaining signatures can consume valuable examination time, create avoidable pressure and interrupt a student’s concentration and flow. My proposal is to shift maximum feasible formalities to a pre-examination verification process using pre-filled/digitally linked details, secure QR/ID-based verification and a structured invigilator checklist. The objective is not to compromise examination security, but to make the process more efficient while ensuring that the official examination clock is devoted primarily to assessment. I request ICAI to consider this student-centric approach for a more seamless examination experience. The attached PDF presents the complete proposal, implementation concept and expected impact.

As a CA Intermediate student, I have realised that keeping up with amendments, notifications and circulars is not only about knowing what has changed, but also about knowing what needs to be done because of that change.
I suggest that ICAI introduce a simple “One Change, One Action” format for important regulatory updates. Along with explaining the amendment, ICAI could mention who is affected, the effective date, the old and new position, the action required, the relevant form or compliance and one small practical example. Where relevant, an option to mark the required action as “Pending” or “Completed” could also be provided.
This would make regulatory updates more useful in day to day professional work instead of leaving members and students to interpret every change separately. It could save time, reduce avoidable compliance mistakes and help CA students understand how what they study actually translates into professional responsibility.

I know that chartered accountancy is one of the most prominent finance courses and due to that the difficulty level is also justifiable but I want to say that please don't bring extreme amendments due to which students lose their confidence and courage ...
So please it's my humble request to make some amendments, like A community for all students..
A group of individuals or a place where students can interact discuss their ideas which helps them to keep competitive and motivates them to keep more studying And also gives them the college
And one more additional factors, the don't increase articles shift for more than 2 years because it is enough to study and get the practical exposure for becoming a good chartered accountant
