The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens across India to share their constructive suggestions and innovative ideas through the initiative "Have an Idea? Share it with ICAI".
This initiative provides a platform for citizens, professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to contribute their valuable ideas for strengthening the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Chartered Accountancy profession, and India's financial and economic ecosystem.
Participants are encouraged to submit their suggestions on areas such as strengthening the Chartered Accountancy profession, promoting economic development, enhancing transparency and good governance, leveraging technology and innovation, improving financial literacy, supporting entrepreneurship, and contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The objective of this initiative is to encourage meaningful public participation and harness diverse perspectives to help build a stronger, more transparent, innovative, and future-ready Chartered Accountancy profession while contributing to an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable financial ecosystem for the nation.

Dear icai , I am ca inter aspirant and student of commerce.
My suggestion is based on my experience as student and my vision for viksit bharat 2047.
1. In It/oc training students should be given real time exposure by visiting various ca firms and industries so that they can habitial with real data and figures that we usually deal in question only, teacher should make sure that how audited accounts and figures are actually checked and seen by the CA by making a practical study on respective firm data and statement of accounts.
2. All the status like vice chairman , sports secretary head of every social activities should be rotated because sometimes there is personal biasness as the selected candidates will selected only their friends eligible for volunteering, they did not give this opportunity to other students.
3. All the ca students should conduct free literacy camps in school and village as part of their articleship . It promotes awareness,tax compliance and digital payment.

ICAI Virtual Business Simulation Lab
ICAI could develop an online simulation platform containing different fictional businesses, such as a manufacturing company, retail business, service organisation, start-up or MSME.
Instead of simply reading a case study, students would virtually work with these businesses.
They could receive realistic documents and information such as sales invoices, purchase bills, bank statements, GST records, inventory information, payroll records, ledgers, expense documents, financial statements and management reports.
The platform could then create practical assignments around this information.
For example, a student might be required to identify an accounting error, reconcile a bank account, determine the correct GST treatment of a transaction, analyse declining profitability, investigate an unusual expense, examine internal controls or identify inconsistencies between invoices and accounting records

ICAI can introduce a skill based student profile in which ICAI can provide modules and assessments. It would record verified practical skills like Advance Excel, GST, Income Tax, Tally etc.
Student can complete ICAI certified assessments to earn digital skill card. This would help students build industry relevant skills, and strengthen their CVs.
Even a dropper can get job based on these ICAI certified skills.

Me myself. Barsha Singh, a CA running student.. personally believe that CA course need to updated with artificial intelligence for the better enhancement of practical knowledge and cope up with this dynamic environment. The articleship should be of 2 years only. that can help students to save a year of time and reach the goal for earlier exposure to the field they willing to do. The examination should be conducted transparent.. should avoid unnecessary uncertainty about the centre and administrative changes.. icai should conduct a student poll and pay much attention to the need of students before passing any resolution towards the administrative changes and any amendments made .. icai should pay attention on the global exposure of icai members on different countries and regions. Global exposure may create good opportunity for the students, members and can help them to give the best exposure of their intelligence and skills..

Dear institute of chartered accountants of India I am CA inter student and my suggestion regarding the ca course is to be that icai has been involved there articleship has fully practical knowledge of working of ca and communication skills and also the AI has been helping in the students for there problem solving and many other helps regarding there course and make the ca course structure more easier so that more students has taken this course as there future option so that India has most good and excellent ca in the world who has been there own big CA firms all over the world and such initiative will be contributing the our honorable prime minister vision of viksit bharat 2047 has been accomplished before that icai has make there students more opportunities of working with big industries so they help in development of our GDP and economy thank you this is my suggestion

Dear ICAI,
As a student of this reputed institute, I have some suggestions which will enhance the overall path of ca curriculum,
1st suggestion - To make significant changes in syllabus at all levels of ca curriculum, like introduction of AI,some more into finance subjects or chapters which will open doors or options for many carrier paths for students.
2nd- keep the articleship tenure for 2 years as 2 years is enough for learning practical and have good experience.
3rd- please increase the minimum stipend criteria to atleast 12-15k per month so students can atleast manage their expenses as they do very hardwork and many firms exploit them because they get articles at very low cost atleast articles must be paid for their hardwork.
4th - please make a platform for students where they can find opportunities like articleship vacancy and other skill building programmes .
5th- organise some offline camps for skills upgrading like communication , so that students feel confident.

Dear ICAI
As a CA Student I want to request that plz include AI in course as when newly freshers CA enter into the world full of competition they face many difficulties. And there is a one more suggestion that plz Sir/Ma'am make paper of audit as MCQ based this initiative check the real knowledge of students. Case study check how far the student thought instead of learning whole paragraph.

DEAR ICAI, this side Yogita Arora. Being, a CA intermediate student I have realized that one of the key challenges facing the chartered accountancy profession is the need to keep pace with rapid technological and global changes. I have recently attended AI workshop conducted by ICAI which helped me in thinking about my studies in a practical way. I literally enjoyed this blend of Artificial intelligence and Chartered accountancy course. So, I want to suggest that ICAI shall also introduce AI as a subject because it will keep Indian CA education globally aligned with changing skills expected from accounting professionals worldwide. Such initiative would also contribute the vision of Vikist Bharat @2047 by developing a technology-enabled, skilled and future ready workshop increasing demand of Indian Chartered Accountants globally. Adding AI as a part of curriculum would ensure every aspiring CA gains basic knowledge of AI rather than making such learnings dependent on separate workshops.

As a CA student, I feel that ICAI can make the journey a little more student-friendly by bringing all important student-related information at one place. A single dashboard or mobile section can show exam forms, important dates, study material updates, results, announcements and reminders, so that students do not have to check different places again and again.
I also feel that practical training should remain focused and meaningful. If there is any consideration of increasing the duration of articleship to three years in the future, I would request ICAI to consider keeping it at two years, with better quality and structured training. This would give students enough practical exposure while also allowing them time to prepare properly for their exams and build their careers.
Small improvements like these can make the CA journey more organised, less stressful and more supportive for students.

Dear ICAI, My idea is to create a simple platform for CA students where they can find articleship opportunities, skill-based courses, study resources and career guidance at one place. Students can also find CA firms according to their location and area of interest, such as Audit, Taxation and Accounting. Along with this, ICAI can organise a “Practical Learning Week” every month, where students get small real-life tasks related to Accounting, Tax, Audit and Excel. This will help students gain practical knowledge and feel more confident before starting their articleship.
