SAARTHI represents NHAI as a modern, dependable and people-focused organisation committed to safe, connected and progressive highways across India. Its shield-shaped form symbolises protection, safety and trust, reflecting NHAI’s role in creating a secure highway network. The road forming a forward-pointing arrow represents mobility, connectivity and India’s journey towards growth and development. Blue conveys reliability, professionalism and technology, while the yellow safety helmet represents engineering, construction and a safety-first approach. The cheerful face and thumbs-up gesture make the mascot friendly, positive and relatable to citizens. Its clean, bold design and limited colour palette ensure easy recognition across road signage, digital platforms, campaigns and communication. Overall, the mascot combines the identity of highways with the people behind their construction and maintenance, portraying NHAI as a trusted force connecting people, places and opportunities.
