The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens across India to share their constructive suggestions and innovative ideas through the initiative "Have an Idea? Share it with ICAI".
This initiative provides a platform for citizens, professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to contribute their valuable ideas for strengthening the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Chartered Accountancy profession, and India's financial and economic ecosystem.
Participants are encouraged to submit their suggestions on areas such as strengthening the Chartered Accountancy profession, promoting economic development, enhancing transparency and good governance, leveraging technology and innovation, improving financial literacy, supporting entrepreneurship, and contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The objective of this initiative is to encourage meaningful public participation and harness diverse perspectives to help build a stronger, more transparent, innovative, and future-ready Chartered Accountancy profession while contributing to an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable financial ecosystem for the nation.

Introduce a “Practice Readiness Score” rather than only marks. The score could assess:
Skill Example assessment
Technical knowledge Correct accounting, audit or tax treatment
Professional judgment Quality of conclusions and assumptions
Communication Clarity of email, report or client explanation
Ethics Identification of ethical and independence issues
Technology Use of spreadsheets, audit tools or data analysis
Time management Completion within a realistic deadline
Why it would improve ICAI
It would reduce the gap between examination preparation and workplace expectations.
Students would gain exposure to practical problems before articleship.
Articleship employers could identify students with specific skills.
ICAI could identify common learning gaps across regions.
It would support the Institute’s current focus on digital learning and AI-enabled professional education

A very low passing percentage in this field. But everyone knows this exam is not easy. In examination hall all students can be panic to see the question paper. I suggest to icai that the students can loss their degree for 1,2 marks. This is not good so please give the students to grace marks to pass this exam. Aspirants can see the many times of unsuccessful results please be appreciated that and increase the coaching centres in all areas to prepare for the exam. Because there have no coaching centres to prepare this exam.

The consistently low pass rates in the CA examinations indicate a need to understand the challenges faced by students, especially those who remain unsuccessful after multiple attempts. I suggest that ICAI introduce a structured post-result academic feedback system for students.
Along with marks, students could receive subject-wise performance insights indicating areas where they lost marks, such as conceptual understanding, application, presentation, time management or question interpretation. ICAI could also provide targeted revision resources, practice plans and guidance based on these areas.
The objective should not be to reduce the academic standards of the CA course, but to help students understand their gaps and improve systematically. Such a transparent feedback mechanism could reduce repeated unsuccessful attempts, improve the quality of preparation and help deserving students progress towards becoming competent and ethical Chartered Accountants.

As a CA Foundation student, I feel that students have to use many different sources for studying. ICAI study material is available, but for practice, revision, MCQs and mock tests students often search on different websites and apps.
My suggestion is that ICAI can make one simple student platform where students can find study material, chapter-wise MCQs, previous year questions, mock tests and revision tests at one place. It can also show students which chapters they have completed and which topics need more practice.
A simple progress report can also help students understand their preparation. This will be especially useful for students who are preparing through self-study and may not have proper guidance.
I think such a platform can make CA preparation more organised and also help students depend more on official ICAI resources.

मेरा सुझाव है कि ICAI विद्यार्थियों और आम नागरिकों के लिए वित्तीय साक्षरता, टैक्स, GST और डिजिटल भुगतान से जुड़ी सरल हिंदी सामग्री और मुफ्त ऑनलाइन जागरूकता कार्यक्रम बढ़ाए। ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के युवाओं तक ऐसी जानकारी मोबाइल के माध्यम से आसानी से पहुंचनी चाहिए। इससे लोगों को वित्तीय निर्णय समझने और सही तरीके से लेने में मदद मिलेगी।

Being a CA Intermediate student without regular college life, I sometimes feel that while the CA course teaches us discipline, consistency and hard work, we get fewer opportunities to develop communication, networking and teamwork skills.
I suggest ICAI organise an offline, in-person Shark Tank-style event for CA students. Instead of pitching business ideas, students could be given real-world business problem statements involving financial challenges, cash-flow issues, expansion or marketing. Teams could take different roles such as clients, consultants, strategists and financial advisors. They would interact face-to-face, understand the problem, discuss solutions, develop a strategy and present it before experienced CAs and industry professionals.
Such an event would help students apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations while developing communication, teamwork, leadership, network , critical thinking and decision-making skills.

ICAI should launch the 'National Digital Tax Clinic' (NDTC) platform. This portal will allow small-scale businessmen (MSMEs) and street vendors to post their basic GST and taxation queries for free. ICAI Articles and senior commerce students, supervised by registered CAs, can resolve these queries. Consequently, students will earn valuable practical credit points, and small businesses will easily comply with tax laws without any financial burden. This initiative will effectively bridge the gap between young talent and national economic growth.

ICAI could launch AI chat box that can resolve doubts related to return filing, fund allocation, comparing different scheme for beneficial investment that could lead to more financial literacy and better fund allocation eventually leading to prosperous India by 2047.
A SIMPLE AI CHATBOT POPPING UP AT THE ICAI WEBSITE could tremendously simplify learning about different policies, welfare schemes and notifications released by ICAI.

Hi, I am a student at intermediate level of CA examination and simultaneously doing llb, so my idea, comes from comparing different academic curriculum, that ICAI could add branch level physical coaching facilities so that the student would not feel so isolated while preparing for the examination and remain in touch with the course .
Also, with that, I would suggest, the ICAI can regularly organise speech, competition or other form of competitions at branch level, so that student will learn industry ready skills and also have a competitive urge to participate, while earning some certificates for there CV . Although the virtual learning and virtual interactive session are organised by ICAI frequently but for human social connection, physical events are necessary and they will result in highly motivating the students. And if both the ideas could simultaneously be implemented, the problem of isolate study will be resolve, improving the mental health of the students .
