Mascot Concept – “NAVMARG: Building the Highways of Tomorrow” This mascot, NavMarg, represents the vision of NHAI’s futuristic and progressive approach towards highway construction in India. The name NavMarg combines “Nav” (new/futuristic) with “Marg” (path/road), symbolizing a new path towards the future of Indian highways. The character is designed as a cheerful highway worker, combining the identity of road construction with the imagination of future technology. The most distinctive element of the mascot is the large transparent helmet inspired by an astronaut’s space suit. It symbolizes the idea of taking Indian highways beyond conventional construction and into a new era of innovation, technology and futuristic infrastructure. The space-inspired helmet creates a visual connection between space technology and next-generation highways, suggesting that the roads of tomorrow can be built with the same spirit of advanced engineering, precision and innovation. The orange-and-white body reflects road construction and highway aesthetics, while the high-visibility safety vest represents the hardworking people who make India’s infrastructure possible. The confident thumbs-up gesture communicates safety, progress, reliability and optimism. NavMarg’s friendly face and expressive personality make it approachable and memorable, allowing it to connect with commuters, workers and the younger generation. Overall, NavMarg represents NHAI’s journey from building roads today to creating smarter, safer and more futuristic highways for India’s tomorrow.
